WELCOME BACK!

Welcome back parents and students! With the beginning of September means the beginning of an adventurous school year. Here you will be able to monitor your child's activities in my classroom on a weekly basis. Any changes in curriculum or important projects will be listed here.

I will be instructing your child in Mathematics and Religion. The 7th grade Religion course will consist of covering the Seven Sacraments. The 8th Grade Religion course will consist of covering church history.

Mathematics courses from grades 5th – 8th grades follow New York State standards and as well New York Archdiocesan guidelines. The New York State exam will be administered to the 6th and 8th Grades.

In order to continue your child's development in Mathematics, new routines will be implemented. Students will attend a math lab twice a month. This will provide each child with a hands-on approach to Math. Eighth Graders will be expected to incorporate Microsoft Excel into each of their Mathematics lesson. As a result, one Microsoft Excel Project will be due every month.

Students are expected to be prepared for each and every single class.
