Weekly Vocabulary Words
1. Symbol - something that stand for or suggests something else.
2. altar - a platform on which a sacrifice is offered; the table on which the sacrifice of the cross is made present in the Eucharist.
3. Blessed Sacrament - another name for the Eucharist; the Eucharist reserved in the tabernacle.
4. tabernacle - the ornamented receptacle in the church where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved; from the Latin word for "tent."
5. sacraments of initiation - Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist; the sacraments that initiiate us as members of the Church.
