Vocabulary Words for Week of December 5th

1. Algebraic Expression - An expression that contains one or more variables and at least one mathematical operation. It may also contain numbers.

2. Median - The middle value of a set of data that are arranged in order. If the set has even number data, the median is the mean of the two middle numbers.

3. Mode - The most frequently occurring item in a set of data.

4. Range - The difference between the greatest and least values in a set of data.

5. Mean - A type of statistical average found by computing the sum of the data and dividing by the number of items in the data set.
