Vocabulary Words for Week of September 26th, 2011

1. Variable - A symbol usually a letter, used to represent a number.

2. Distributive Property - Multiplying a number by a sum is the same as multiplying the number by each addend of the sum and then adding the products.

3. Integer - The whole numbers and their opposites.

4. Substitute - to take the place of; replace.

5. Exponential Form - A number written with a base and an exponent.
